Blake Benjamin's Blessing Day
May 30, 2010

Couldn't resist adding one of the adorable older brother....=)

Lovely ladies (my cousin, Abby, my Aunt Becky, and my mom) working in the kitchen

L-R: cousins Megan and Kelsey, my sister, Hannah, and my cousin, Emily

Glorious, glorious food....

Blake's adoring fans in our back yard

Proud grandfathers

Joseph, his brother, Ben, (after whom Blake is named), and Granddaddy

All of the Jackson men together by our rock wall

Granddaddy and Grandmama by our Park Smith Holler tree
(named by Ian, origin of name unknown)

Part of the entourage during a rousing game of Curses!

You'd think we didn't feed the boy, huh?

My cousins, Emily and Abby
(Abby recently--within the last month--returned from her mission to Concepcion, Chile. I was beyond happy to see her!!)

My little brother, Sean....who is becoming less and less little by the day!

My sister, Natalie, and cousin, Owen

Grandmama and her grandbaby

Cuddling (for quite a while, I might add) with Uncle Spencer

Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed this special day with us!! We missed those of you who wanted to come, but for some reason could not. We had a wonderful time--though, we'd like to issue a small reprimand to those of you in attendance for not eating enough food, thankyouverymuch.

=)

P.S. Photo credits to my mother in-law, Linda.
I, myself, took zero pictures today.

Smiles

Sorry the focus isn't so great...it's hard to elicit smiles AND take a picture at the same time, apparently. =)

Picture Potpourri....and a montage

We've been doing a lot of this lately.....

...and I've finally been able to put Blake down long enough to take on new projects...

Ian was taking a turn with the camera...this was my favorite shot:

Ian used this swing so little that we just (today) replaced the batteries. Blake's totally into it, though....

The Many Faces of Blake
Gahhhhh! Can't you just eat him up?

An evening walk on the common (and he SMILES!)

Our town has a great town green (or common, po-tay-to/po-taw-to), and we decided to hitch up the stroller and go for a walk (before the mosquitoes hatch). =)

A Growing Boy

Blake is certainly growing...in the words of my grandmother who held him yesterday, "He'll give you a hernia!" We're fattening him up nicely, that's for sure. =) Also, we're getting smiles every once and a while...more and more every day!
