Herbert A Pratt
Herbert A Pratt was born in 1867 to John Madison Pratt (1828-1920) of Vermont and Sarah Flagg Ward (1831-1912) of Massachusetts.  He was raised alongside his brother Albert Pratt (1860-??).

The John M Pratt family lived in Ashburnham as of 1880.  John M (51) was head of the house, and Sarah F (47) was his wife.  Herbert A (13) was at school.  John was a basket manufacturer who had been born in Vermont.  The household at the time included John and Sarah's niece, Laura J McQuestion (14), and Sarah's father Silas Ward (1791-1881).  Sarah's mother Diadamia Mosman (1791-1879) had passed away the previous year, but it's possible that they were under their care well before that as well, since they were both around 90 at their time of death.

Ella Frances Edwards

Ella was the oldest of five children to Thomas J Edwards (1853-1919) and Margaret O'Brien (1854-1919).  Her father was a reed worker (weaving), born in England, and mother Margaret was from Plymouth, MA, of Irish parents.
