Elias Elliott
Elias was the son of James B Elliott and Roxcillana Washburn, of Windham, Maine. He was the oldest of 5 known children. They were farmers, though James didn't own his own farm (1870 Census, personal effects valued at $150)
2. George L Elliott (1855-1920) m1 Sadie J (1863-1885) m2. 1886 Lillian C Calhoun (1857-1910) m3. Ida M Bickford (1873-??)
3. Ellen M Elliott (1857-1900) m 1874 Frances P Black (1853-1944)
4. Elva A Elliott (1859-1910) m 1883 William Harrison Forbush (1841-after1920) m2. Jacob A Brown (??)
5. Ruth A Elliott (1862-??)
In "History of Windham, Maine" by Thomas Laurens Smith, there is mention that Elias Elliott may have served in the Navy?
In 1874, Elias married Phebe Field in Windham, ME.
However, by 1880, Elias is listed on the Census as married, but living with his parents again without his wife. As of 1880, his mother had consumption, and he and his father both worked as laborers. They had a house servant by the name of Matilda Brown (30).
Our Elias E Elliott should not be confused with the age 40 man who was in the civil war in 1863 (b 1823). He was enlisted in the military of Androscoggin County, Company E, later transferred to the 25th Maine. Our Elias was too young at the time to be involved in the Civil War.

Emma Melissa Parsons
Emma was the daughter of Joseph C Parsons of Peterborough, NH and Abbie Adeline Wardwell of Biddeford, ME (m 25 Oct 1870, Peterborough, NH). Joseph was a weaver, and Abbie was a spinner. Her father had been in living with Mr Henry Carter (father-in-law?) and his wife while working in the cotton mill at the time when he met Abbie Wardwell.
Life Together
Elias E Elliott died 4 September 1896 of consumption (tuberculosis), leaving Emma Melissa a 25 year old widow with a 4 year old and 1 year old. Two months later, on the 25th of November, Emma remarried to George B Larrabee in Naples, Maine.
It is apparent that one of the reasons that George and Emma moved around is because they didn't have much money. For example, in 1907, the Town of Mechanic Falls reports that they paid a debt of George B Larrabee to the tune of $30.21, even though he was not a citizen of the town (but rather of East Machias, see page 16). It was common for the town to cover some of the expenses of their poor.

Life Together
Emma
and Elias were married 24 March 1890 (18 and 39, respectively), filing their intention to marry both of Deering, ME. They had
two children

By
1900, Emma was living in Harrison Maine. She and George Larrabee had
four children:
3. George Gilbert (1898-aft1930)

By
1910, George and Emma lived in East Machias, Maine. He had been born in
Machiasport, and worked as a farmer. We presume that George passed away
during this decade 1910-1920, which led Emma to find housing for her and
her children with Mr. Chase.
1920: Emma is living with a Mr. Charles Chase, (no noted relation, a widower) in Bridgeton, ME, and her four children. Her two older Larrabee boys George and Prentiss are working at the woolen mill as spinners and pickers.
No additional notes can be found on Emma Melissa. I presume this means that she passed away sometime before 1930.
*1930 George Larrabbee was a roomer at Lillian E Johnsons, and perhaps was the means of introduction to Andrew.
