We have lots of things to like about the new house. After having a week of ownership, and just a few days of occupancy:
Things I really really like
Basement storage room
washing machine with superior agitation
garden shed (10x12!)
carpeted playroom
extra shower
sun porch (it was 75 deg when on a 45 deg day!)
Things I like, but I'll have to get used to
Wood floors in our main living area (must protect!)
Temperature fluctuations in a house with many rooms
Electric cooking range
Sounds of a oil burning heater
The clink/clank/whoosh of the hot water baseboards
Turning off lights in the myriad of rooms in the house
Where the right light switches are
Eating in a Dining Room!
Just for funsies, I should mention that we hit the perfect day for move-in. The day before was rainy and drab, the day after had 20 mph winds. Also, the bottom dropped out of the temperature and some sincerely winter weather has blown in! I'd like to think that Heavenly Father ordered up some nice weather for our move.
When you get a good weather moving day in the middle of mush and slush...what a blessing!
