Pictures of our recent storm are
a dime-a-dozen
these days....
But I thought I'd add ours to the mix.
We woke up on Wednesday morning to see
one of the city plows stuck in our front yard.
I thought to myself,
"Self, you should poke your head outside and take a picture."
I soon realized, however, that our door was snowed-in.
This photo was taken after I pried the door open about 4".
As is customary, the city sent the big guns on Thursday.
They move the snow from in front of our house
to the side of our house.
(Snow Pile Contest is imminent, folks.)
I'm a little bit embarrassed to share this next part.
But I will. Because we're all friends here.
I never bothered to clean off my car.
So Joe finally did the job on Friday.
(And a nice New England trick we've learned is to drive your car to the road to clean it off...thus not un-doing all of your hard work when you shoveled. Joe took this opportunity to give the Corolla a bit of a Mountain Main complex.)
Ouch.
After our last storm (the Sunday after Christmas),
We had an unfortunate freeway spin-out on
our way home from Maine. It was scary and oh-so-inconvenient...
But thankfully no one was hurt.
Check out that snow pile!
Molly, should we just cut to the chase and give you the prize?
(And for any newcomers: you can add this site to your google reader, and it'll let you know when we update.)
that is REAL SNOW.
ReplyDeleteWow.
I don't even know what to say. Looks like the snowpile is bigger than ever (yes?)...
I feel like a wimp now for staying inside for our 2 inches today. :)
Wow. That's all I have to say.
ReplyDeleteI know...wow. whoa.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I am not sad that I missed that storm this year. We hardly have any snow where I am now but it is equally just as cold.
ReplyDeleteOurs melted down to about an inch left as of yesterday but now it's been snowing all morning and not expected to stop! I definitely need to pay closer attention to the weather forecasts.
ReplyDeleteI might be able to share some photos that would rival your snow pile. However, that is might impressive. As far as sending me the prize...I'll take it. You can stop twisting my arm now.
