It's been a busy few weeks around here.
So, if you'll bear with us...
{and you'll want to, because my kids are adorable}
...here's what we've been up to.
Blake is sporting one of Joseph's baby outfits...
I have a sneaking suspicion that Joe wasn't 5 months old when he wore it... =)
Each comes complete with a 'STOP....'
....and 'GO' buttons...
But also...
...destinations buttons for 'SPACE,' 'HOME,' and 'GRAMMY'S HOUSE.'
A couple of Fridays ago, it wasn't nine-hundred degrees outside,
so Ian and Joseph camped in the back yard.
Though, it being urban camping, movies were involved. =)
Ian often reminds us that eating outside is one of his favorite activities.
We were happy to oblige on the morning of his backyard campout.
Ian was pretty content after a nice sleep outside...
...And Blake and I enjoyed them for breakfast al fresco.
Blake is finally learning to love toys--
his 2 month-long teething extravaganza has really helped to expedite that process along, for sure.
...and this boy looooooooves to swing.
We're now 2-for-2 with Crazy Duck success stories.
Ian loved it. Blakes loves it.
Win-Win.
We went to Maine last weekend to celebrate my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary. Blake got to meet my cousin, Isaac, for the first time--and Blake literally melted into Isaac's arms. I'm pretty confident it's because Isaac *may or may not* have been Ian's *shape* when he was a baby.
I like to call this picture "KINDRED SPIRITS."
Great-Grammy got some good cuddles in...
...and also built up her muscle tone at the same time.
Joe's dad was in town for a few days on business,
so we took advantage of the good weather and brought him to
our favorite spot for some blueberry and raspberry picking.
Annnnnnnnd....I think it's time for an up-size in clothing...
Granddaddy was pretty excited about blueberries!
One must sample the blueberries before one commits to the whole blueberry bush.
Last night we headed up to Canobie Lake to eat dinner...
...but after a long day of berry-picking,
Ian was pooped.
It looks like you guys are having a great summer. Your boys, as always, are adorable.
ReplyDeleteTHE CYBORG DUCK! My sister has one of those and her girls love it. I have searched high and low but can never find one. It's kind of creepy, kind of awesome. Glad to see you are using it to its fullest potential!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME. And how did Ian get so big?? He looks so much like a little kid in these pictures, it's insane.
ReplyDeleteI am really, truly, madly in love with berry picking. :)
How fun! Loooove the photo of Blake in the stroller with his "belly" shirt on. My daughter would tell you that that that isn't modest. Fortunately, when your 5 months old, it really doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Liz, Ian looked so old to me in these photos!
I didn't even finish reading what you were writing about Isaac- as soon as I saw his name I could remember the fattest baby ever running around in a diaper at Sebago Lake! Blake may just beat him out! :) My mom was looking at the pictures and said "just like Jen!" She remembers your cute baby fatness!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I LOVE chunky babies.
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see an update!!! Might need your recommendation on a good berry-picking spot, though it may be a bit late in the season for me.
ReplyDeleteBoth the boys are getting SO big!! Wow!
That pic of Ian right after the pancakes...wow...he looks 8 or 9! But I know he is still safely 4...
ReplyDeleteI like it that you have backyard campouts and breakfasts! So cool!
Blake seems to be enjoying life and getting strong...tummy time!
I didn't realize how big Blake really was until I saw that picture of Great-Grammy holding him. My goodness he's a healthy size and cute to boot.
ReplyDeleteI loved the picture of Blake in one of your husband's outfits. I was a HUGE baby and my Caroline is the teeniest little thing ever, I put an old outfit of mine on her the other day (she just turned two) and I looked in my old photo album and I wore it at 7 1/2 months!
