Blake Benjamin's Blessing Day
May 30, 2010

Couldn't resist adding one of the adorable older brother....=)

Lovely ladies (my cousin, Abby, my Aunt Becky, and my mom) working in the kitchen

L-R: cousins Megan and Kelsey, my sister, Hannah, and my cousin, Emily

Glorious, glorious food....

Blake's adoring fans in our back yard

Proud grandfathers

Joseph, his brother, Ben, (after whom Blake is named), and Granddaddy

All of the Jackson men together by our rock wall

Granddaddy and Grandmama by our Park Smith Holler tree
(named by Ian, origin of name unknown)

Part of the entourage during a rousing game of Curses!

You'd think we didn't feed the boy, huh?

My cousins, Emily and Abby
(Abby recently--within the last month--returned from her mission to Concepcion, Chile. I was beyond happy to see her!!)

My little brother, Sean....who is becoming less and less little by the day!

My sister, Natalie, and cousin, Owen

Grandmama and her grandbaby

Cuddling (for quite a while, I might add) with Uncle Spencer

Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed this special day with us!! We missed those of you who wanted to come, but for some reason could not. We had a wonderful time--though, we'd like to issue a small reprimand to those of you in attendance for not eating enough food, thankyouverymuch.

=)

P.S. Photo credits to my mother in-law, Linda.
I, myself, took zero pictures today.

Blake looks perfectly happy getting lots of snuggle time and it looks like your party group was HUGE! Go hostess Jen! :)

  2. WOW- that was quite the spread of food! My goodness. Wish we were close enough to have been there (and to help out with THOSE leftovers)!

Joe and Jen, you really ought to feed that baby boy of your something. My goodness, he is going to waste away!

  4. HAPPY BLESSING DAY!!! You all look fantastic.

And Blake - WAY TO GO, BROTHA. Pack on those pounds.

p.s. let me know if he starts sleeping through the night when he hits 16 pounds (which I'm guessing should hit, oh, yesterday). I have a theory that 16 pounds is a magical weight.

  5. Wowzers. Sad that we had to move across the country so that we couldn't be part of these family events anymore. Can't believe some of those "little" kids. Natalie's outfit cracks me up and Owen, what the heck, he's all big and stuff. You all look great and happy and Blake looks especially happy and healthy I might add. Congratulations on a special day.

  6. Is it bad that I was most saddened to not be there when I saw the AWESOME spread...??

    I shouldn't admit that.

Looks like it was a fantastic family day.

I'm game for Abby and Eric to get together (she's gorgeous!). Does she want to move to Kansas? Little Owen is going to be a heart-breaker with those eyes...I'm in love and I think that's illegal.

AND, finally, the man of the day: little Blake is not so little. What an absolutel doll.
